BRITISH COLUMBIA

Compendium : The purpose of this Compendium, or Collection of Writings, is to provide a very general description of the law and the judiciary of British Columbia. It concentrates heavily upon the criminal law. Our Compendium is necessarily incomplete because a full description of such matters would require many volumes. It is the hope of the authors that the Compendium may be useful in providing general information for the better understanding of judicially related matters.

B.C.'s Chief Justice Finch's Home Page: Answers to inquiries will be posted in the order of publication in the Responses section of this Home Page. The question asked, but not the indentity of the inquirer, will be quoted or paraphrased, followed by the response of the Chief Justice.
