The Frances Kelsey Library Resource Centre provides a variety of reading material as well as information for course-related assignments and recreational interests. Our aim is to assist students' development into capable, independent researchers and readers who become life-long learners.

Assistance:

Students are encouraged to seek assistance when necessary from the Teacher-Librarian, Ms. Emblem, or the Library Clerk, Mrs. Bonner.

Expectations:

Everyone who uses the library is expected to be respectful of each other and of the equipment and materials.

  • Please do not bring food or drink into the library--the only exception is a water bottle.
  • If you have a diskman, listen to it by yourself so no one else can hear it.
  • Return borrowed material promptly.  Most materials, including some videos, may be borrowed overnight or for up to a two week loan period.  Extended loans may also be arranged.

Computer Acceptable Use Policy:

Please--

  • only use computers for research or to access the library catalogue.
  • only use email to send articles/homework home or to retrieve information from home.
  • do not use chatlines, use instant messaging, or play games.
  • do not visit sites that are inappropriate for the school setting.
