1. Candidate(s) must be in the immediate family of a CUPE member (son, daughter, grandchild) in good standing of Local 606 (Cowichan).
2. To be awarded to graduating student(s) who will be proceeding to post-secondary education (vocational, technical, or academic training).
3. Upon proof of registration at a post-secondary the bursary will be payable to the intitution of the student's choice, to be claimed within 18 months of graduation. An extension may be granted upon special written request.

PROCEDURE:

1. Apply on *SPECIAL APPLICATION FORM (CUPE form) accompanied by a letter to include involvement in such things as community or school groups for the past FOUR years; leadership, membership in teams, organizations, etc, and personal interests - (i.eathletics music, etc).
2. A letter of reference from a respected member of the community to be attached to application form - (school counsellor, team coach, employer, etc).
3. A personal interview may be requested by the student or Bursary committee.
