1. Available to S.D. # 79 (Cowichan Valley) graduating student who attended George Bonner Middle School for at least two years. A signed declaration (available in the Counselling Office) indicating years applicant attended this school must accompany application form.
2. Must provide proof of acceptance to post-secondary institution along with copy of receipt for paid tuition.
3. Bursary will be awarded on the basis of student's financial need, academic achievement and contributions made to schools and community.
4. Provide a letter of reference from staff or community member.
5. Students must apply for bursary in the school year in which they graduate.
6. Recipient must provide proof of acceptance into a post-secondary institution within six (6) months of being notified of the award. However, upon receipt of a written request for the extension of the 6 month period, along with  reasons for the request, the committee shall give such request every consideration, but the final decision will be at their sole discretion.
7. Students are asked to write a maximum 500-word essay on the person who has influenced your education the most.
