Bursary value of up to $TBA
- Available to any graduating student who is a son/daughter of a Steelworkers, Local 1-1937 member, or to a person who is wholly supported by
a member in good standing of Local 1-1937. The wife, son or daughter
of a deceased member in good standing at the time of his/her demise,
or a member who is retired and was a member in good standing at
the time of retirement, shall be eligible to apply.
- Indication of financial
need must be shown.
- All applicants must be proceeding to any degree-granting
university, regional college, B.C.I.T., or to any other accredited
vocational or technical school to complete a course leading to
establishing a career.
- Proof of enrollment in a recognized educational
institution is required before receiving the scholarship.
- Estimated
final mark for school year must be shown on the application.
- The
Steelworkers Local 1-1937 reserves the right to withhold the scholarship if no candidate
has a sufficiently high standard of grade point average.
